We all love to spend times on the Internet. It brings us information and entertainment … and lots of stuff we really don’t need to read about but can get sucked into reading.
It helps us find products and services and gives us reviews by strangers—reviews that we give credence to. In short, the web serves us information it thinks we will like—and that means it filters out information that it thinks we will not like. Like broader viewpoints or different perspectives or different directions. Which can put us in a “like me bubble.”
This evening’s video talk makes us consider why potentially this is not a good thing!
Host for the evening: John Bianchi of JMB Consulting, a marketing and business consulting service
